True Blood!

Ah Sookie, Sookie, now......Sookie Stackhouse that is. Thanks to Audrey Fisher for allowing me to work with you on such an amazing show.

Erik Rubin Music Video

I just recently Production Designed and Costume Designed a video for an artist named Erik Rubin. The build was a lot of fun and I am very happy with the way it turned out. Big thanks to rocking Art Directors Geoff Flint and Austin for making it possible!!! I will post more pics as they become available but check this out for now.........

Wolverine Sketches

Here are a few working sketches from Wolverine. Some look the same in the movie, whereas others do not. (Deadpool) I liked this version of Deadpool and wish it had made it into the movie but it was very early on in development and the character's face had to be seen....enjoy.

Terminator Salvation

I had the pleasure of working with Michael Wilkinson for the first time on this one. He made the job fun and easy. The costumes in this movie were gritty and felt third world in nature. We captured this by manipulating reference materials and drawing back on top of them to suit the needs of the character. Enjoy

Star Trek Illustrations

Here are a few illustrations from Star Trek. Enjoy!

The Blackout!

Back again for another round of Music video mayhem folks. This time, I put my dark creative forces toward a band by the name of "The Blackout." They are from the UK and could not have been a nicer group of guys to work with. We shot two separate videos for the band for their upcoming album in on day. (22 hour shoot!) It was a big job but the visuals that my crew helped me pull off are really special. I will post more pics as they come. For now, enjoy.....

Saint Motel "To My Enemies" Music Video

Hello all. Long time no post! That aside, I would like to share with you some shots from a video I just Production Designed alongside my good friend Geoff Flint. We built 11 sets all on one sound stage and shot the video in one day! It was a lot of work but the end result is something that I am very proud of. It is the most building I have done yet and now I want to do more. Enjoy!

Dr. Horrible

So now that Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog is out, I can show the piece I did for it. It was mean't to be a piece of fan art that one of Dr. Horrible's fans made for him. The background in the actual film is different as Joss thought this pass looked too professional for a fan drawing! lol

It was truly a dream come true to work for/ meet Joss Whedon. Big thanks to Mike and Alethea for making it happen. Enjoy folks...I am off to comic con.

Melissa's Business Card

I did this a while ago but never posted it for some reason. This is a business card I did for a friend of mine. She is just starting out as a Make-up/Hair artist for film and television. The concept is pretty straight forward. I made the initials of her name out of make-up/hair items. Enjoy and comment!

Power

The homie Mike over at www.uniphotography.com hooked up this great image of me holding what seems to be some sort of power orb. Now I wish all pictures of me were like this. lol Hope you all are well. More post to come soon. I just have to format them all.

Panic @ the Disco! "9 in the Afternoon"

Here are some pics from the new Panic! video. I Art Directed this alongside my good friend, and rockin Production Designer, Danielle Clemenza. The concept is pretty bizarre but each band member has their own room and their alarm clocks gradually get bigger in size as the video goes along. The rooms are divided into four colors: one is red, one is blue, yellow, and green. There was also a "Dessert" wasteland set and a grassy "I am the Walrus" set. I got to draw a little for this one as well. The portrait of the lead singer (red room) hanging on the door was done by yours truly... We shot it in 2 days toward the end of December with a very talented Director by the name of Shane Drake. It is nice to see a Director doing something other than "booty" videos! lol Let me know what you think.

p.s. Here is a link to the video! Watch it!!

Drawings to come very soon as I am gearing up for an art show that I would love to have exhibited later this year. Peace....

Im Back!........Eskimo Hottie

Hello everyone. Sorry I was gone for so long but it has been difficult to adjust to all these crazy work changes. I hope that you have all been doing well and I promise that I won't stay away so long next time. Anyway, here is a character that I did for the costume guilds christmas card. They only pic one and this probably won't win because it's "Non-traditional" but who cares....."I like it" lol If anyone is still out there, let me know what you think. Peace

Character of the Week: Mary-Kate Olsen

I was doing my warm up sketches while talking to a friend. She brought up the Olsen twins so I decided to draw one. I find their faces interesting. They look like something that Brian Froud would have sketched for Dark Crystal! lol Okay, that was kinda mean but it's true. They have huge eyes and very interesting lips. Anyway, here is my quick sketch of Mary-Kate.

Bruiser and a Beast.....

Okay, I know that title was lame but whatever, you know you like it. Anyway, here is another character I just finished. I had a lot of fun with this one till I realized that I kinda drew Blanka! lol Oh well, I think he is different enough but I will let you guys be the judge of that. Enjoy.

One more character........

This guy belongs in the cartoon series I have been working on. He is a powerful wizard that has been banished from his clan. I hacked out the chains obviously but I was a little tired and feelin lazy.....oh well, enjoy.

Satacray88

This is a character that I am working on for a friend of mine that does a monthly webisode over at itsallinyourhands.com. After each episode, you are allowed to make a choice that will influence where the story goes next time. It is a fun idea so I wanted to get involved. If you have time, watch the episodes and vote! Peace.

BB!

Some friends of mine are starting a new company and need a mascot. They had several artist submit for it and this was my take on the info given. It is supposed to be a robot mixed with an old school boombox.....can't go into much more detail yet but wish me luck!

Hope you had a SEXY Thanksgiving Holiday!!!!

LoL....I drew this sexy "little" vixen at Grandma's house in the midst of 3 weeks (yes, I said 3 weeks!) worth of cooking. I was inspired by a few drawings I saw over at Mike Thomas' page.(www.sketchmt.blogspot.com) I just figured I would add in my normal bit of sarcasm and hopefully, give some people a good laugh this Holiday. Hope you guys ate a lot of good food and were in good company! Now get up from your drawing tables and go to the gym......or run.....or flick randomn strangers in the eye and see how far you get before they catch you....hahaha. Peace and Blessings!

*Update* 11/21/06.....Added another character. Here costume was fun and I liked the contrast between the blue and pink color.

New Characters

So a while back, I posted some characters for a cartoon I have been working on with a good friend. Here are some more characters that I just finished. The dogs have an obvious egyptian theme going on and the chick with one arm is a shape shifter. I tried some experimental things with her and I ended up learning a lot. I have been working on more characters for the past few days but I will try to get back to my personal stuff soon.....enjoy and have a good weekend friends!

Moki Entertainment Coporate Identity Logo

This is a logo I am currently working on for Moki Entertainment Inc. I have been learning how to manipulate photographs with photoshop recently which is a new thing for me. It is hard but I am starting to pick up a few tricks here and there. Let me know what you think. I should be finished with it sometime later on today.

Set Design

Something some of you don't know is that I have been working as a Production Designer for the past 4 years. The projects are usually low budget indie films but I tend to grab the ones that I know I will have fun on. Recently, I did an PSA for AIDS awareness and currently, I am working on a horror film that takes place inside of a military-like bunker. Above are pictures from both. With the PSA, I worked the AIDS ribbon into my design and it worked out rather well. The horror film has a multitude of characters so I tried to give each one of their rooms a different look; Even though most of them took place in the same corner which I had to dress 3 different times! My favorite one, however, ended up being staged in the back of a cargo truck....enjoy.

Character of the Week: Alf

Yeah, so I didn't have much time this week but I did decide that I needed to do a post so I did a quick sketch of Alf. Cat enthusiast beware, Alf is in the building....Next character will probably be Sloth of "Goonies" fame.

Head Automatica Video Shoot

Yesterday I had the pleasure of working on the set of the band Head Automatica's new video for their single "Lie through Your Teeth"with Director Shane C. Drake! I ended up having some downtime so I decided to do some shape studies of the band. The theme of the video was a retro 60's feel similar to the Beetles' live television performance. I had a great time with these and the greatest thing about it is, they take no time. Enjoy!!!

Art of Television Costume Exhibit

So I went to FIDM this weekend so I could get a little sketching in at the costume exhibit they had going on there. The exhibit was kinda dark this time so I didn't sketch as much as I would have liked to but nonetheless, here are two sketches that I did. One is of Carol Burnett as "Miss Starlett" dressed in a gown made of a curtain. The other is of a prostitute from Quantum Leap that I found interesting....enjoy!

Character of the Week: VICI

Hello all....I started doing a character of the week sketch a little while ago so I am just now getting to posting some of them. This weeks is VICI (Voice Input Child Identicant) from the 80's sitcom "Small Wonder". Anyone else remember this show? I have been on an extreme 80's kick lately so expect more random show characters to appear in the weeks to follow. Peace

These are all characters for a cartoon series I am working on with a good friend of mine. It is centered around a character nick-named M5 and his family. I can't say much else about it yet but it is shaping up to be cool. Hope you like them!

Another B-day....another drawing.

This time, I had a few hours to work on the drawing before I had to go to the party. I like the turnout although I am itching to try and do a complete drawing in illustrator without photoshop.........maybe next time. Enjoy and critique!

.....drawing at a B-day party, priceless......

Here is a quickie I did of a friend at his B-day party....yeah, that's right, I had my laptop out and was drawing like a social leper at his party. He wanted something he could put on his bass case for his band and nothing is cooler than plastering your own face on everything that you own!

Venthian....psyche ward #1

This is the start of a longer piece that I am going to do. The finished piece will have "Venthian" here dancing with a few other weird folks all attached to strings going into the ground. As the strings come back out of the ground, they will be held by a cool nurse looking character I am working on.....hope to finish another character soon.....

LiL Sis....the Basketball Samurai Warrior...person...LOL

Here is a pic I did of my Lil sis Nikki. It is one is a series I am working on in which I want to portray my family members as characters from some sort of adventure....that takes place in present day. I want it to be mixed up...kinda like Mad Max. Right now, I guess she is the warrior and I am like the Art Oracle?....We'll see....

Self Portrait # 2.....still life?

So with this one, I kinda wanted to turn myself into a still life. I grabbed a bunch of stuff and had my mom take a picture of me. I really enjoyed working on it and I think I still might have some tweeks to do. Let me know what you think guys...I would appreciate the feedback.

Ed's Killer Movie Poster

A friend of mine asked if I could do a movie poster for his first indie film. The film is called, "Ed's Killer Movie" and features the main character making a documentary about himself trying to learn to be a serial killer because his girlfriend finds it sexy.......sigh..... Anyway, it is a dark comedy and had a very campy feel to it. I modeled it after an old Indiana Jones poster and gave it that 50's diner/creepshow feel. It is supposed to feel campy and cheesy. I did the line work in photoshop and then colored it in illustrator. My favorite thing in this piece is the moon.....man photoshop is an awesome program!!!!

Nothing like a little "shameless self promotion" right? This is an image that I am using for the main page of my website. It is under construction right now but I will have it up as soon as the flash animations are done. In the meantime, enjoy looking at me! hahaha.....oh, and on a side note, that is a monkey wearing a spray paint mask.....I am gonna have to fix that so it reads more clearly.

The Key Holder

Yet another character for the Hip Hop show. I really enjoyed working on this one. I finished it and the end of last semester and I learned a lot from it. I tried working on coloring my pencils in Photoshop so that my work could remain loose. Often times, art I put in the computer ends up being very static so this technique is a welcome change. I also mixed in real photographs of random objects I liked on a "shape" level which is a technique I would love to try more of. This is the piece that really helped inspire me to do the aforementioned/blogged "hoodie chariot". Enjoy and let me know what you think.

Hoodie Chariot

Hey guys!! Sorry I have not been on in a while....I worked on a film during the break that took a substantial amount of my time....Anyway, I have continued working on characters for a hip hop like show that I would love to get going. I sketched these guys in my sketchbook first and then combined them all together in photoshop. I liked the idea of a group of dancers pulling a chariot....especially one with a crazy Spartan Dj! More post coming very soon.

Krank and Conjoined Twin Hags

Here is an Illustration I did of some characters from the movie "City of Lost Children." It is a great movie for those that have not seen it. I like this pic because I was learning a lot about how I draw when I did it. I was coming into a style that I felt comfortable and in control with. Most of all, I was having fun.
